Overview

Senior Legal Director for Real Estate Litigation, focused on high‑value commercial property disputes. You will guide a regional team, manage key client relationships, and contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the practice. You’ll handle complex matters such as lease renewals, covenants, dilapidations, and insolvency issues, driving practical, commercially minded solutions. This role combines leadership, client facing impact, and collaboration across internal teams to deliver excellent service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied, high‑value caseload of commercial property disputes (lease renewals, covenants, dilapidations, rights of way, boundary disputes, trespass, nuisance, possession, insolvency issues)
  • Support growth and improvement of the Real Estate Litigation practice and ensure consistent client service
  • Provide practical, clear legal advice to clients to meet commercial objectives and progress matters efficiently
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members to enhance quality, performance and culture
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with key clients and identify new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with the transactional Real Estate team and other internal stakeholders for ongoing support

Key requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with considerable experience in leading real estate or real estate litigation teams
  • Technical expertise in complex, high‑value commercial real estate litigation
  • Ability to manage files independently and contribute to wider team initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and credibility with clients and colleagues
  • Collaborative approach to maintaining and growing client and internal relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritise and work efficiently
