Head of Real Estate (Insurance Brokerage)

Overview

You will lead and shape the UK Retail Real Estate practice within a growing international insurance brokerage and risk advisor. You will drive revenue growth, nurture senior relationships with owners, developers and lenders, and build a high-performing real estate team. You’ll craft sophisticated risk and insurance solutions across diverse real estate assets, while strengthening insurer partnerships and expanding market influence. This role offers autonomy and the chance to develop a leading market proposition with broad international support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth and strategic development of the UK Retail Real Estate practice
• Originate and develop new business opportunities across the UK real estate sector
• Build and manage senior relationships with property owners, developers, investors, REITs, managing agents, and lending institutions
• Advise clients on insurance programme design, portfolio risk management, and complex placement strategies
• Work across asset classes including commercial, residential, mixed-use, logistics, student accommodation, hospitality, and development portfolios
• Collaborate with specialist teams across property, casualty, cyber, environmental, transactional risk, and construction
• Develop innovative and tailored risk solutions for sophisticated real estate clients
• Strengthen insurer and London market relationships to deliver competitive and strategic outcomes for clients
• Recruit, mentor, and develop talent within the real estate team
• Represent the business at industry events, client meetings, and market forums
