Mechanical Project Engineer

Overview

In this role you will deliver mechanical works from design through commissioning on a flagship London wastewater project. You will lead subcontractor coordination to meet quality, timeline, and budget targets, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You’ll assess designs and method statements, and uphold top health, safety, and environmental standards. Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical works from detailed design through commissioning and handover
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet quality, programme, and budget targets
• Review mechanical designs, specifications, and method statements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless project delivery
• Uphold high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance

Key requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven background in the water or wastewater sector, ideally in a Tier 1 environment
• Strong leadership and coordination with subcontractors and stakeholders
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps, pipework, and treatment assets
• CSCS / SMSTS / EUSR Water Hygiene desirable
