Overview
As GPU Chief Architect / XPU Lab Director, you will steer the design of next-generation mobile GPU and AI compute architectures. You will shape both hardware and software directions, aligning with the company’s high-performance, energy-efficient silicon goals. You’ll lead microarchitectural decisions, collaborate across CPU, software, and system teams, and guide projects from concept to tape-out and silicon bring-up. This role combines technical leadership with strategic influence in a globally recognized tech organisation, offering impact across performance, power, and area constraints.
Responsibilities
- Define GPU/NPU architectures optimized for performance, power and silicon area
- Analyze graphics and AI workloads to inform future hardware/software architectures
- Lead GPU microarchitecture, including execution pipelines, scheduling, cache and memory systems
- Optimize on-chip interconnect and resource sharing for heterogeneous workloads
- Collaborate with CPU, AI software and system architecture teams
- Drive architecture from concept through tape-out and support silicon bring-up
Key requirements
- 15+ years’ experience in GPU, AI accelerator or heterogeneous compute architecture
- Deep knowledge of GPU microarchitecture, including SIMD/SIMT, scheduling and memory systems
- Strong understanding of AI acceleration and tensor/matrix processing
- Proven experience delivering high-volume silicon
- Expertise in performance modelling, power analysis and system-level architecture
