As a Principal Civil Design Engineer, you will lead civil design work for FEED and detailed design across energy projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable solutions. You’ll support Project Managers and Team Leaders while driving technical excellence for schemes like renewables, interconnectors, and substations. This role places you at the heart of the UK energy transition, shaping project execution and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead FEED and detailed civil design for energy projects
• Provide technical solutions and develop detailed designs
• Support Project Managers and Team Leaders in delivery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients across the UK
• Apply industry best practices and innovation to efficiency and environmental challenges

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• Chartered Engineer with Engineering Council and ICE preferred
• Knowledge of the energy sector and national grid transmission procedures
