Director of Technology

My client is a fast-growing, digitally led consumer business looking for a hands-on Head of Technology. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you’ll take ownership of the technology roadmap while leading the engineering, data and IT functions.

The role will cover:

• Setting and delivering the technology strategy
• Leading and developing the internal technology teams
• Scaling and improving the ecommerce platform and wider systems
• Ensuring strong performance, security and reliability
• Introducing new technology, including practical uses of AI
• Managing technology budgets, suppliers and delivery

They’re looking for someone with:

• Senior technology leadership experience within ecommerce, D2C or a digital consumer business
• Experience scaling high-traffic ecommerce platforms / understanding of 3PL and ecommerce platforms, especially shopify.

• A strong understanding of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, integrations and data

The ability to operate strategically while remaining close to delivery

A commercial, pragmatic leadership style

This would suit an established Head of Technology or a senior engineering/technology leader ready to take broader ownership across a growing business.
