Technical Implementation Consultant Financial Data

Overview

In this role you will lead technical implementations for a market-leading financial data platform, collaborating with top developers and architects. You will drive installation, testing and deployment for clients in major financial institutions, translating complex technology into value for portfolio managers, traders and data analysts. You’ll work across project lifecycles, balancing deep technical tasks with vendor coordination. Responsibilities

• Lead implementation lifecycle for client projects
• Coordinate with developers and architects to deploy the platform
• Perform testing and manage new/existing client installations
• Configure application servers and interfaces
• Develop SQL queries, XML-related mappings, and data integration tasks
• Support integration with third-party systems and vendors
• Provide hands-on setup and troubleshooting in production environments
• Assist with documentation and knowledge transfer to clients

Key requirements

• Experience in software implementation in financial services or vendor environment
• Strong Java and SQL skills
• Oracle PL/SQL knowledge
• Unix (Linux or Solaris) experience
• Experience with JBOSS/WebLogic/WebSphere application servers
• Understanding of J2EE concepts and application server configuration
• XML technologies (XML, XSLT, XPATH)
• Experience integrating a product with third-party systems
• Experience implementing vendor software in large organizations
• Desirable: Perl
