Cost/Senior Cost Controller (hybrid working)

Overview

In this Cost Engineer role, you support major projects by delivering accurate cost data and timely performance reporting. You will drive cost performance metrics, including Earned Value Management, to ensure baselines and forecasts reflect reality. The position sits in engineering within a global professional services firm focused on real estate, infrastructure, and related programmes. You’ll tackle tracking of costs, accruals, forecasts (ETC and EAC), and change control to inform project decisions. This is a chance to shape cost management on high-impact projects in a collaborative, global environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost control data structures to track and control actual costs
• Establish and align project control budget with baselines
• Track actual costs against cost controls for internal and external spend
• Monitor accruals and commitments against budget constraints
• Build project forecast including ETC and EAC
• Provide accurate and timely reporting including Earned Value Management
• Track contingency and exposure from risk events and remaining risks
• Monitor change control to align with baselines and control data structures
• Analyze project trends to inform future change controls

Key requirements

• Graduate in a relevant discipline with 5–10 years of experience in project controls for major projects or programmes
