Power Systems Engineer (Energy)

Overview

In this role you lead and deliver power systems consulting projects, focusing on studies and analyses that support grid reliability and energy transition. You will work within the Power Systems team to win work, mentor peers, and maintain strong client relationships. The role offers exposure to a range of studies from load flow and dynamic analysis to grid connection support for onshore and offshore developers. You will contribute to high-quality reports and proposals while advancing the firm’s mission toward a net-zero future.

Responsibilities

• Deliver power systems studies and analysis with emphasis on control interaction studies
• Provide technical and project management leadership to ensure successful delivery
• Ensure technical quality of project reports and proposals
• Build and maintain key client relationships to position services and secure repeat business
• Lead development and delivery of project proposals and identify multidisciplinary integration opportunities
• Lead on power systems software packages (DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD, IPSA, CDEGs)

Key requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization
• Experience in power systems consulting
• Strong professional network of industry contacts and clients
• Proactive and highly motivated to meet customer requirements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects/proposals
