Electrical Engineer – Water Sector

Overview

As an Electrical Engineer in Stantec’s Cardiff Water team, you will support electrical and EICA design across water and wastewater projects, contributing across the project lifecycle from feasibility to construction. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient solutions that support resilience and sustainability in essential infrastructure. This role offers hands-on project experience, mentorship, and the chance to shape communities’ water assets at scale. Responsibilities

• Support delivery of electrical and EICA design solutions for water and wastewater projects
• Contribute across the project lifecycle from feasibility through construction support
• Prepare technical documents, drawings and specifications
• Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines to enable integrated delivery
• Build technical capability through hands-on project experience and mentoring
• Support the development of safe, efficient and innovative engineering solutions

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Some experience in electrical engineering design or related technical environment
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles and design processes
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise
• Good organisational skills with ability to manage priorities
