Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer

Overview

In this role you lead mechanical design for Buildings Services projects within Ramboll’s Industry and Infrastructure Facilities Service Line, driving technical delivery and strong client care. You’ll manage own projects and may supervise engineers on larger schemes, with opportunities to contribute to international signatures. The role emphasizes digital and parametric design, aiming to work smarter and deliver sustainable outcomes. You will collaborate across disciplines to support Ramboll’s mission of sustainable change.

Responsibilities

• Lead your discipline on MEP projects and, for larger schemes, manage engineers from complementary disciplines
• Work with initiative with minimal supervision on technical aspects of the discipline
• Complete detailed designs and supervise others in the function
• Inspire confidence internally and externally to strengthen client relationships
• Manage project time and deadlines, coordinating tasks and allocating resources when acting as project manager

Key requirements

• Qualified Engineer with proven track record in their discipline
• Accredited honours degree or equivalent (as above) and working towards IEng or CEng status
• Excellent communicator capable of simplifying complex issues
• Interest or experience with digital and parametric design tools
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks to meet deadlines
