Civil Engineer

Overview

You join an established civil engineering team within a leading multidisciplinary consultancy to deliver infrastructure solutions across education, residential, MOD, and international projects. In this hybrid role, you’ll contribute from concept to construction, collaborating with structural, geotechnical, and planning specialists. You’ll shape highways, drainage, and external works designs and mentor junior engineers while developing client relationships. Responsibilities

• Deliver highways, drainage and external works designs for development projects
• Produce drainage strategies, SuDS designs, earthworks and levels
• Prepare Section 38, 278 and 104 designs and approvals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, geotechnical, environmental, planning)
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and local authorities
• Support project delivery from feasibility through construction
• Mentor junior engineers and support their development (Senior & Principal)
• Lead project delivery and manage client relationships; contribute to business development (Principal)

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Experience delivering infrastructure design for development projects in a UK consultancy
• Knowledge of highways, drainage and external works design
• Experience using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage or similar software
• Strong understanding of UK design standards and SuDS/Section Agreements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Chartered status, or willingness to work towards Chartership (advantageous)
