My client, a tier 1 bank, looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join a high-performing engineering team within a global financial services environment. The role focuses on building, modernising and supporting highly distributed, business-critical backend systems.

Key Requirements

• Strong Python backend development
• Advanced SQL / database development
• Microservices and event-driven architecture
• Kafka and/or Tibco
• TDD and automated testing
• Kubernetes and/or OpenShift
• Prometheus, Grafana or similar
• Production support and troubleshooting
• Agile delivery experience

Desirable

• Financial Services / Capital Markets experience
• CI/CD and DevOps
• Legacy system modernisation
• Experience supporting critical production platforms

We’re looking for a hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on code quality, testing and system reliability.
