Overview

As Test Engineering Manager for Product Development at Edwards, you will shape the site-wide test strategy and lead the development of robust, scalable test solutions from concept to volume manufacturing. You’ll guide a Test Development team, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, quality standards, and continuous improvement. You’ll embed Design for Test in early design decisions and collaborate across functions to ensure production readiness. You will drive automation, data-driven testing, and governance to deliver reliable, cost-efficient tests that support innovative product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Test Development team and foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Define site-wide test strategies for PCA and final product testing aligned with business goals and standards
• Oversee development and standardization of test architectures (hardware, fixtures, software, diagnostics, data capture) for multiple product lines
• Embed Design for Test (DFT) principles across concept, prototype, and production stages to optimize test coverage
• Collaborate with Test Engineering, Operations, Engineering, and Quality to ensure smooth handover and production readiness
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 45001)
• Lead governance processes for design reviews, validation, change control, and production release milestones
• Pioneer automation and data-driven approaches to boost test effectiveness, robustness, and cost efficiency

Key requirements

• 5+ years hands-on test engineering in electronics or system development
• Proven expertise in PCBA functional testing and/or in-circuit testing; familiarity with Keysight platforms
• Demonstrated leadership of Test Engineering teams (mentoring, performance management, talent acquisition)
• Experience defining test strategies, standards, and architectures across multiple product families
• Strong knowledge of Design for Test (DFT) and diagnostic development
• Experience overseeing test development from NPI to production and formal handover
• Advanced analytical skills for complex investigations across design, testing, and manufacturing
• Excellent stakeholder engagement across international teams
• Solid understanding of safety, quality, and compliance frameworks for test equipment and processes
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP and advanced Microsoft Office capabilities
• Desirable: engineering degree in electronics, test, manufacturing; Lean/CI experience; SMT and through-hole assembly knowledge
