BMS Project Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead the most complex building management system projects, shaping design, configuration, and software development to meet customer expectations. You’ll oversee the project site team, plan routes for efficiency, and ensure safe, compliant execution. You’ll work closely with customers to align goals and rapidly resolve issues, delivering high-quality BMS installations and updates. This is a hands-on, multi-project position that combines engineering, programming, and field leadership to drive impactful outcomes in the South West region.

Responsibilities

• Deliver successful execution of complex BMS projects
• Develop, design, and test software programs to meet project specifications
• Oversee daily activities of the project site team and plan monthly routes for optimal efficiency
• Communicate effectively with customers to align project goals with expectations
• Conduct thorough project assessments to identify and resolve potential issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of all project phases and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Key requirements

• Proven experience managing complex projects
• Hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Strong programming knowledge
• Background in BMS installation
• Experience delivering multiple projects of mixed value
• Ability to travel within the South West region
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage workload independently
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Valid CSCS site card and SSSTS certification
