ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a major organisation delivering complex projects within a highly regulated and security-conscious environment. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to coordinate multiple site projects, manage stakeholder relationships and ensure delivery remains aligned with programme milestones.
THE PROJECT MANAGER ROLE:
As a Project Manager, you will oversee, manage and coordinate multiple site projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and to agreed budgets.
You will provide regular reporting and forecasting to the Portfolio Lead, while maintaining strong relationships with client stakeholders and proactively identifying risks, issues and potential impacts to delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the planning, execution and delivery of multiple projects
- Providing regular project updates and detailed reporting to the Portfolio Lead
- Creating, issuing and monitoring project forecasts
- Tracking project progress, risks, issues and dependencies
- Managing client stakeholder relationships and providing clear project reporting
- Identifying and managing the critical path
- Assessing the impact of delays and incomplete activities on project timelines
- Developing mitigation and recovery strategies
- Supporting effective communication across project and delivery teams
- Ensuring projects remain aligned to scope, schedule and budget
PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, Engagement Manager or similar
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
- Strong understanding of critical path and project dependencies
- Experience with project forecasting, reporting and progress tracking
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
- Experience identifying project risks, issues and delivery impacts
- Ability to analyse complex problems and develop effective mitigation strategies
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience using project management software and tools
- Ability to work onsite in Barrow-in-Furness up to 50%
