We are seeking an organised and details-focusedData Administration Assistant to join our team at Cove School. Working underthe direction of our Data Manager you will support the accurate and timelyadministration of pupil, assessment and school data.
We are looking to appoint a colleague who will:
- Accuratelyinput, update and maintain pupil and assessment data within Arbor and otherschool systems
- Produce,download, check and distribute reports and data outputs as required
- Supportthe administration of assessment cycles, including preparing mark sheets,assessment templates, target data and reports
- Assistwith the analysis and checking of assessment, examination and progress data,ensuring information is accurate before circulation
- Monitordata submissions from teaching staff and follow up on outstanding informationto ensure deadlines are met
- Maintainaccurate records relating to KS3 and KS4 assessment, vulnerable groups andother key pupil information
- Supportthe production, collation and distribution of pupil reports and interim grades
- Assistwith school admissions, including updating Arbor, creating pupil records,maintaining contact details and supporting new-starter and leaver processes
- Processchanges to classes, rooms, timetable, interventions and extra-curricularactivity
- Supportmaintaining accurate records for pupils attending alternative provision, dualregistration or reduced timetables.
- Supportthe administration of pastoral systems within the school to support charactereducation
- Supportthe transfer of pupil information and CTFs to receiving schools.
- Assistwith the school census and other statutory returns, working under the guidanceof the Data Manager
- Maintainand update FSM information using Hampshire OFSM and process parent updatesthrough the Arbor Parent App
- Supportdata checking exercises and ensure information is handled securely and inaccordance with GDPR and school policies
- Maintainthe school firebox and undertake other administrative duties relating to pupildata as required
Thesuccessful candidate will:
- Be confident workingcollaboratively with a range of teams and staff and be able to respond to adhoc requests from SLT and teachers in a timely manner
- Have excellentICT skills, particularly within Excel and have the ability to learn anduse new systems effectively
- Have strongattention to detail
- Understand theimportance of confidentiality when working with sensitive information
- Keep abreastof current guidance, requirement and good practice in relation to targetsetting and the effective use of data
- Be able to useinitiative and to work without supervision to meet deadlines while copingwith frequent interruptions
- Haveexperience of producing statistical analysis (desirable not essential)
- Willing tocover any other duties as required
- Actively safeguard and promote thewelfare of all children
- Adhere to all school policies,procedures and safeguarding requirements
Experience working within a school environment wouldbe advantageous but not essential.
