Drivers Mate / Loader – Recycling Bin Delivery
Location: Worthing, BN14
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00
Saturday Rate: Paid at 1.25x standard hourly rate
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a reliable Drivers Mate / Loader to support a recycling and environmental services operation based in Worthing.
The role involves working alongside a Van Driver on daily routes to deliver and collect council-issued recycling bins, boxes, caddies, and sacks across local areas. You will assist with loading, unloading, and safely delivering recycling containers to residential and commercial properties.
This is a physically active role requiring regular walking, lifting, and manual handling. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and carrying out hands‑on duties throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Van Driver on daily delivery and collection routes.
- Load and unload recycling bins, boxes, caddies, and sacks.
- Deliver recycling containers safely to designated properties.
- Ensure items are handled correctly and safely at all times.
- Support the driver in completing routes efficiently and on schedule.
- Provide a polite and helpful service to residents.
- Follow all company health & safety procedures.
What We Offer?
