A great opportunity to join this well regarded pensions firm as a Lead Pensions Administrator. The role offers hybrid working, with 2 days per week in the office. You will have excellent DB and DC pensions administration experience with good technical knowledge, along with the confidence to support and develop those around you.

Your new role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play a key part in delivering a high-quality pensions administration service to members, employers and third parties in line with agreed Service Level Agreements. You will take ownership of delegated tasks within the team, including checking casework and weekly reports, and you will prioritise and manage your own and others’ workloads so that work is completed within agreed service levels.

Other responsibilities will include:

Checking the work of other team members for accuracy and explaining any changes required, helping to build colleagues’ working knowledgeDealing with and checking complex casesManaging and processing scheme eventsMaintaining administration and benefits data to answer queries from employers, members and third parties, ensuring the quality and reliability of all dataParticipating in and carrying out data quality auditsWorking with the administration managers to help plan the work of the team in the absence of the Team LeaderProviding excellent customer service to internal and external clients at all timesCarrying out all duties in line with information security and data protection policies

What you’ll need to succeed:

Solid experience within pensions administration, with strong DB and DC knowledgeProven pensions technical knowledge relevant to the roleGCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above in Maths and EnglishStrong Microsoft Word and Excel skills, including complex spreadsheet workA good understanding of data integrity and a questioning attitude, with the confidence to challenge established processes where improvements can be madeExcellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approachThe ability to prioritise your own and others’ workloads, work to deadlines and maintain a high level of output and accuracyA proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to new and challenging situations

It would be great if you also have

QPA or PMI qualifications, either completed or in progressExperience of training, coaching or managing the performance of othersEvidence of introducing effective change in the workplace and encouraging others to respond positively to change
