We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work – Care & Learning Team in Birmingham. This role is pivotal in supporting children and families within our community, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including families, schools, and other professionals, to deliver high-quality social care services.
As a Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing tailored care plans to support children’s welfare and development.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.
- Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognised social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in a care and learning context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
