Regulatory Reporting Analyst

Company: JSS
Apply for the Regulatory Reporting Analyst
Location: London
Job Description:

JSS is partnered with a global retail bank that is partway through implementing a new regulatory reporting platform and is building out its COREP and FINREP capability ahead of the Basel 3.1 deadline in January.

They need a hands‑on Regulatory Reporting Analyst to help map data into the new system and make sure what comes out the other end is right. This is very much a doing role rather than an oversight one, someone comfortable getting into the detail of returns and templates, not just reviewing them.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the build and roll‑out of the bank’s new regulatory reporting system, working closely with the change and implementation team.
  • Helping map source data into the new platform for COREP and FINREP submissions.
  • Sense‑checking data as it flows into COREP and FINREP templates, catching issues before they become reporting problems.
  • Taking a hands‑on role in preparing and submitting capital returns, with COREP as the main focus area.
  • Picking up more liquidity reporting involvement as that side of the book grows over the next year.
  • Keeping reporting aligned to current regulatory interpretation, particularly as Basel 3.1 requirements land.
  • Contributing to capital disclosures, including Pillar 3.
  • Investigating data quality issues at source and strengthening the controls around them.
  • Flagging opportunities to automate repetitive parts of the reporting process as the new system beds in.

Personal Profile

  • 2-3 years’ experience in regulatory reporting, with a clear lean towards capital and COREP specifically.
  • Working knowledge of COREP and FINREP templates and how source data should map into them.
  • Hands‑on experience with a regulatory reporting system is a strong plus , platforms such as Axiom (AxiomSL), Vermeg, OneSumX, Suade or similar are all relevant, even if the specific system differs.
  • Comfortable working through a live system implementation and the data‑mapping challenges that come with it.
  • Sharp eye for detail and confident sense‑checking numbers against templates, not just producing them.
  • Able to stay organised and accurate against the tight deadlines a Basel 3.1 go‑live brings.
