Hours of employment

n

20 hours – 4 days out of 7

n

Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday 8-1, Thursday and Friday 5-10

n

Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday 5-10, Saturday and Sunday 8-1 

n

Week 3 – Tuesday, Wednesday 5- 10, Thursday and Friday 8-1

n

Week 4 – Tuesday, Saturday 8-1, Wednesday and Sunday 5-10

n

The Role

n

In your role as Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals in their own homes including:

n

    n

  • Assisting with household tasks
  • n

  • Assisting and supporting with personal care, including intimate personal care
  • n

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • n

n

 

n

About You

n

You will:

n

    n

  • Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • n

  • Have the ability and initiative to work on a lone working basis
  • n

  • Have good time keeping, time management and organisational skills
  • n

  • Hold an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or have the ability and willingness to undertake this qualification
  • n

  • Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
  • n
