HGV Drivers

HGV Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers (Minimum 6 Months Experience Required) – Ad Hoc Work – Darwen

ad hoc work providing cover for holidays, sickness, and increased workloads, offering flexible opportunities for experienced drivers looking for additional shifts.

Available Shifts & Pay Rates

Class 2 Days

• £14.50 per hour
• Predominantly local multi-drop deliveries
• Ongoing ad hoc cover

Class 1 Days

• £16.00 per hour
• Variety of day runs

Class 1 Nights

• £17.50 per hour
• 19:00 start times (typically)
• Simple trunking work
• Runs from Darwen to the company’s hub in Lichfield and back
• Minimal handball involved

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience
• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) and/or Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
• Reliable and professional approach to work
