Private Client Solicitor (2-8 years)

This is an opportunity to join a well-established independent Scottish law firm in Edinburgh and take ownership of a varied caseload, working on complex and sensitive matters involving wills, trusts, executries, estates and succession disputes.
The role would suit a Scottish Qualified Solicitor with 2-8 years’ PQE who is keen to develop their expertise, work closely with clients and play an active role in the continued growth of a specialist private client practice.
The Role
- Manage a varied caseload involving wills, trusts, executries, estates and succession disputes
- Advise clients on complex and sensitive private client matters
- Conduct litigation and attend court as required
- Provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice
- Work directly with clients, counsel and other professional advisers
- Progress matters independently and contribute to the growth of the firm’s contentious private client practice
About You
- Scottish Qualified Solicitor with 2-8 years’ PQE
- Strong experience in contentious private client work and litigation
- Good knowledge of Scottish succession, trusts, executries and estate law
- Confident managing a caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong client-facing, communication and relationship-building skills
- Professional, personable and proactive approach
- Keen to build a long-term career within a growing private client team
