BI & Data Analyst
An established and growing organisation is investing heavily in its data, systems and technology capabilities and is looking for a BI & Data Analyst to join its Data & Systems function in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for a BI & Data Analyst with 2-4 years’ experience to take ownership of business reporting and insight, working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Business Development, Operations and Management. The role would suit a BI & Data Analyst who enjoys turning complex data into clear, trusted and actionable business insight.

As a BI & Data Analyst, you’ll play an important role in developing reporting and insight while helping teams across the business make better use of their data.
About You
You’ll ideally have 2-4 years’ experience in a BI, Data, Reporting or Power BI Analyst role, with strong practical experience developing reports and dashboards.
You’ll ideally have experience with:
- Power BI and developing interactive dashboards and reports
- Power Query and DAX
- Data modelling and preparing data for reporting
- SQL and relational databases
- Data visualisation and presenting information clearly
- Data quality, validation and reconciliation
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another CRM/ERP platform
- Gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders
- Translating business requirements into effective reporting solutions
- Working with multiple data sources
- Supporting data governance and consistent reporting definitions
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure or other modern Microsoft data technologies would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
Most importantly, you’ll want to understand the business problem behind the data, rather than simply producing dashboards from a set of requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting and data requirements
- Translate business questions into clear and meaningful insights
- Build and maintain data models and reporting datasets
- Use Power Query and DAX to transform and analyse data
- Work with data from CRM, finance, operational and other business systems
- Support reporting requirements across Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Help improve data quality, consistency and accuracy
- Identify opportunities to improve existing reports and reporting processes
- Support consistent business metrics and reporting definitions
- Work alongside the wider Data & Systems team on data and systems initiatives
- Help stakeholders understand and make better use of their data
