The Opportunity
Nominate Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading utilities company to recruit an experienced Utilities Supervisor to join their team in Belfast.
Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of squads, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely and to the highest standards.
This is a busy and varied role, ideal for someone with previous experience managing field-based squads and a background in water or utility repair and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage squads and deal with any day-to-day issues that arise.
- Plan and schedule daily work for squads, working within specific timeframes and deadlines.
- Organise equipment and resources required to complete jobs, including traffic management requirements.
- Oversee repair and maintenance work relating to clean water utilities.
- Work closely with the other Supervisors to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Ensure all paperwork, maps and job information are accurate and kept up to date.
- Ensure Health & Safety requirements are communicated effectively to squads working on site.
- Participate in the On-Call rota, including occasional weekend work.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience managing field-based squads or teams.
- Knowledge and experience of water or sewer repair and maintenance.
- A current CSR Card.
- Good computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills.
- The ability to manage changing priorities and re-schedule work at short notice.
