Band 3: BANK SUPPORT RECEPTIONIST
Ad hoc hours for Sites based in North and Central Bristol
An opportunity has arisen for a Front of House Support Receptionist to join our friendly administration team, providing annual leave and sickness cover across our North and Central Bristol sites.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
- These hours are fixed and cannot be varied
Locations The successful candidate will provide reception cover at:
- Gloucester House, Southmead Hospital
- The Greenway Centre, Southmead
- Campbell House, Central Bristol
- The Speedwell Centre, Whitefield Road
As cover may be required at short notice, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
About the Role You will provide a professional and welcoming reception service, supporting patients, visitors, and staff while helping to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of our services.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
Full training will be provided, including training on specialist IT systems and local processes at each site.

Main duties of the job
Full training will be provided on local processes and specialist systems, including room booking software. We are looking for a flexible and reliable individual with previous reception experience, strong IT, communication and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional while managing multiple priorities in a busy healthcare environment. Experience or understanding of mental health services would be an advantage.
