About the role…
You will beresponsible forproviding strong leadership, contract management, project delivery, and strategic planning. Customer driven within the Power Division, ensuring safety, financial and operational targets are met or exceeded,maintainingexceptional customer service levels across all the projects theyare responsible for.
As a Project Manager you will be…
Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific projects.
You will be manage multiple projects safely, competently, and effectively to time and budget, with the management of all financial aspects of the projects – Produce PO’s and order plant and all other items relating to the projects and ensure all extra works/variations are costed and invoiced. Provide cost value reconciliation for projects/contracts and ensure all sub-contracts are approved in line with the company policies and ensure project meets all current legislation HASAWA, NRSWA C.O.S.H.H.
Assist in costing schemes for quotations and identify and inform Directors / Senior Managers of commercial opportunities as appropriate. Work in accordance with project programs to ensure dates and milestones are achieved to ensure projects are completed on time, first time.
Activelymonitorperformance of all site staff including subcontractors with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment and ensure all incidents are reported and investigated, with remedies implemented and monitor performance and safety requirements regularly and implement improvements.
Survey and quote individual projects based on a contract schedule of rates andresources are adequate for theworkloadand that projects are delivered in an economic andtimelymanner.
Be proactive in promoting continuous improvement and innovation in our workingmethodology and work closely with the support team to ensure deliveryprogrammesare in place and progress ismonitored.
Client reporting and liaison including arranging progress meetings and client audits withSubcontractor monitoring
About you…
- Proven experience in a Project Management position within the ICP/DNO/IDNO sector – ICP 11kV is essential & 33kV (desirable)
- Knowledge of measuring work achievement and providing reliable information for applications for payment to commercial staff
- Proven experience of working in customer service or acustomer focusedenvironment with performance management responsibility.
- Professional, customer focused with a good standard of verbal and numerical reasoning.
- Experience inanalysingand interpreting data.
- Evidence of implementing successful improvement measures.
- Passionate about Health and Safety and a belief that Zero Harm is achievable
- Knowledge of KPI measurements to a high level to ensure compliance with targets.
- Experience and ability to encourage and enable personal development of andrecogniseand reward team.
- Proven ability to lead by and set an example.
- Experience in building collaborative relationships with existing and new clients and suppliers.
- Ability to communicate both up and down within Ipsum and the ClientOrganisation
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management skills, withabilityto deliver tasks todeadline.
- Professional and positive can-do approach
- Self-motivated andorganisedand a flexible attitude, with an approach.
- Full UK Driving License
