You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping engineering practices, guiding technical direction, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex software projects from concept through to release. The Role n As Software Engineering Manager, you’ll provide both technical and people leadership, helping to drive engineering excellence across our software development teams. Your responsibilities will include: n n Leading, mentoring and developing a team of highly skilled software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. n Defining and evolving software engineering standards, development practices, and design approaches to support continuous improvement. n Providing technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, from initial architecture and design through to implementation, verification, and release. n Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver key project milestones on time and to a high standard. n Overseeing the implementation and optimisation of wireless communication software across a range of heterogeneous computing platforms. n Acting as a technical point of contact for customers, providing project updates, gathering requirements, and resolving technical challenges. n Supporting career development, coaching and knowledge sharing to help engineers reach their full potential. n n We’re looking for someone with: n n Proven experience leading successful software engineering teams. n Extensive knowledge of embedded software development for performance-critical or high-throughput applications. n A strong track record of designing, developing, and validating embedded or high-performance computing software. n The ability to translate complex technical ideas into clear development plans and deliverable outcomes. n Experience working with CI/CD practices, software planning tools, and agile development workflows. n A relevant degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience. n An understanding of wireless communications principles, or the enthusiasm and aptitude to develop expertise in this area. n n Spectrum IT Recruitment (South) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. n n JBRP1_UKTJ
