Engineering Manager – Automotive

Gerrell and Hard are delighted to be supporting Janspeed to recruit an Engineering Manager to lead and develop their engineering function.

This is a genuinely hands-on technical leadership role – ideal for someone with a strong background in automotive exhaust systems, powertrain or vehicle development who wants to take the next step without moving away from the engineering.

You’ll lead a small team, work directly with prestige OEM customers, support RFQs and technical reviews, and take ownership of engineering delivery from concept through to manufacturing.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong automotive engineering background, ideally exhaust / powertrain
• Principal, Lead or Senior Engineer ready to step into management – or an experienced Engineering Manager
• Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA and DFM
• Strong understanding of product development, validation and manufacturing
• Confident working with customers and cross-functional teams
• A pragmatic, commercially aware approach
• Someone who leads from the front and isn’t afraid to muck in
