Role OverviewA leading European Defence business is seeking an experienced data migration specialist to support the migration of a recent UK acquisition to their ECC6 SAP system
The role will focus on data preparation, cleansing, conversion, loading and reconciliation from a non- SAP system to SAP ECC6 through iterative migration cycles, ensuring business readiness for deployment and supporting a successful go-live.
ResponsibilitiesData preparation and cleansing– Produce and maintain key documentation including data migration plans, mapping specifications and runbooks– Support business teams with data cleansing of non-SAP data– Prepare templates for master and transactional data
Data extraction and transformation– Maintain source to target mapping documentation and transformation rules– Support data transformation activities
Data migration– Develop migration test scripts i.e. using LSMW– Execute migration test loads and troubleshoot failures and defects– Execute dress rehearsals and perform reconciliations to ensure data quality
Cut-over and Go-live support– Contribute to cut over and go-live planning– Support production data migration activities– Provide post go-live support hypercare
Skill SetEssential– Hands on experience of performing data migrations from non-SAP systems to SAP ECC6– Experience of developing data migration load programs (e.g. LSMW)– Strong understanding of SAP data objects– Experience of data conversion, mapping and transformation– Experience of resolving data load defects and failures– Ability to work collaboratively with functional consultants and business stakeholders– Strong problem solving and organisational skills– The role requires candidates to hold UK SC security clearance
Desirable– SAP ECC6 functional knowledge of finance and/or logistics
