Our technology helps customers combat terrorism, drug smuggling, illegal immigration, and trade fraud, enabling safer and more secure global trade. n Role Overview n As a High Voltage Technician, you will be part of a specialist production and engineering team responsible for the build, installation, testing, and maintenance of high-voltage systems. Working closely with Manufacturing Engineers and the Cargo Research Team, you will support the development and delivery of next-generation products while contributing to quality assurance and root cause analysis activities. n Responsibilities n n Install, test, commission, and maintain high-voltage equipment including converters, transformers, filters, and control systems n Carry out diagnostics and fault finding on high-voltage systems using specialist tools and test equipment n Support monitoring of system performance and assist with operational testing and control activities n Ensure all work is completed in full compliance with high-voltage safety procedures, technical standards, and environmental requirements n Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance records, test results, and system configurations n Operate in accordance with ISO9001 audited quality systems and procedures n Support product quality investigations and root cause analysis of failed hardware n Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork n Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct n Qualifications n n NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline n Proven experience working with high-voltage electrical systems n Strong understanding of high-voltage safety procedures, including switching and lockout/tagout n Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals n Experience working in a regulated production or engineering environment n Desirable Experience n n n Experience working with HVDC systems n HV Authorised Person (AP) certification n IPC J-STD-001 soldering certification n Familiarity with quality systems and formal engineering documentation n n n JBRP1_UKTJ
