Job Description Transport Shift Supervisor – Alfreton, Derbyshire n People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Transport Shift Supervisor to join our well-established client based at Alfreton, Derbyshire. n This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent Sunday to Thursday work, and long-term opportunities with the potential to secure a permanent position. n This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an Transport Shift Supervisor. n Pay Rates: n n £15.05 (up to 42 hours) n £22.58 (Overtime) n n Shifts: n n Sunday to Thursday n 22:00 – 06:00 n n Benefits: n Your benefits as an Transport Late Shift Supervisor include: n n Excellent rates of pay n Overtime available n Temp to perm opportunity n Training and development n Free on-site parking n Employee Assistance Programme n Employee recognition scheme n Employee referral programme n Permanent positions available for suitable candidates n Driver of the Month prizes n Driver bonus scheme n 20 days annual leave (increasing to 28 days) plus 8 bank holidays once permanent n One paid volunteer day per year n Health Shield cash back plan (up to £1,000 per year) n Employee discount hub n Cycle to Work scheme n n As a Transport Late Shift Supervisor your duties will be: n n Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the Day and Mid Shift Driver Teams. n Plan, organise and flex driver and vehicle resources to meet daily operational requirements and agreed service levels. n Ensure all transport activity is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). n Ensure the operation consistently achieves agreed OTIF (On Time In Full) targets and other service performance measures. n Monitor daily and weekly transport performance, identify trends and take timely corrective action where required. n Ensure all drivers understand and consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). n Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure loads are accurately prepared, completed and loaded on time. n Maximise successful returns and ensure returned products are managed efficiently and accurately. n Liaise closely with Customer Service to resolve operational issues and improve overall customer satisfaction. n Ensure appropriate levels of driver and vehicle resource are available to meet changing business requirements. n Effectively manage agency drivers and third-party carriers in line with company standards and operational requirements. n n Essential Skills: n n Ability to manage the clerks and drivers by active engagement, regular communication n and regular performance reviews. n Capability to plan, manage and flex driver and vehicle levels to meet operational n requirements. n Manage all disciplinary and grievance issues in line with HR policy. n Legal compliance i.e. understanding of legislative regulations and / or standards. n 2 to 3 year’s experience in transport. n International CPC holder (preferable) n Secondary School standard of general education n Fluent in English n n Training: n n Industry related training and ongoing support throughout n n Apply: If you are ready to take on this opportunity, apply today or contact our recruitment team for more information. n People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process n n JBRP1_UKTJ
