We are currently recruiting for a Science Technician with a strong Chemistry background to join an Outstanding mainstream secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chemistry graduate, laboratory professional or experienced Science Technician looking for a long-term role within a supportive and successful Science Department.

The Role

• Prepare equipment, chemicals and resources for practical lessons.
• Support teachers with experiments and demonstrations.
• Safely handle, store and dispose of chemicals.
• Maintain high standards of laboratory health and safety.
• Maintain and organise laboratory equipment and resources.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to the Science Department.

Requirements

• Strong Chemistry background – essential.
• Chemistry degree or related scientific discipline – desirable.
• Previous laboratory experience – highly desirable.
• Confident handling chemicals safely.
• Good understanding of laboratory health and safety.
• Strong IT and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Reliable, proactive and professional approach.
• Genuine desire to pursue a long-term career as a Science Technician.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client’s pay policy.
