We’re supporting a leading organisation in their search for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join a growing cloud and platform team. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building, automating, and supporting modern cloud infrastructure while driving best practice across DevOps, platform engineering, and software delivery.
You’ll play a key role in enhancing platform reliability, improving deployment processes, and enabling development teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions at pace.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure.
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Develop, optimise, and support CI/CD pipelines, promoting automation and engineering best practices.
- Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to improve platform performance and resilience.
- Support production environments, investigate incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Champion security best practices across cloud infrastructure, applications, and deployment pipelines.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and wider technical teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of platform standards, tooling, and engineering processes.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience across cloud infrastructure and services.
- Proven expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines within modern engineering environments.
- Solid knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and production support practices.
- Good understanding of cloud security principles and vulnerability management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for automation, DevOps culture, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across technical teams.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of GitHub Actions and modern deployment strategies.
- Exposure to platform engineering and cloud-native architectures.
