We are working with a large Life & Pensions and Investments client who are looking for a Reporting / Senior Reporting Accountant to join their finance team. The role will support statutory and regulatory reporting across a complex, multi-entity environment, with exposure to financial reporting, technical accounting, Group reporting and external audit.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements, interim filings and regulatory reporting, including SFCR and Non-Actuarial QRTs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory requirements, including IFRS, LUXGAAP and Solvency II.
- Support financial close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and disclosures.
- Prepare and support technical accounting papers for significant transactions and accounting judgements.
- Assist with Group reporting, consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and reporting packs.
- Support the external audit process, responding to queries and ensuring timely delivery of information.
- Contribute to strengthening financial controls and driving improvements across reporting processes.
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Experience in statutory and/or regulatory reporting, ideally within the insurance sector.
- Strong knowledge of LUXGAAP, with experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements.
- Experience with EU regulatory reporting, including SFCR and QRTs.
- Good understanding of life insurance accounting and the Finance/Actuarial interface.
- Experience with, or a strong understanding of, IFRS 17, Solvency II, Group consolidation, multi-entity reporting and financial control frameworks.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines.
- Previous experience within the insurance industry is essential
