Location: West Sussex County Council

Pay: £38.00-£42.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-Time Locum

Role

We are seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join the Assessment & Intervention Team at West Sussex County Council.

Responsibilities

• Complete high-quality assessments and care planning.
• Undertake child protection and safeguarding work.
• Carry out direct work with children and families.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements

• Social Work England registration.
• Minimum 3 years’ post-qualified permanent Local Authority Children’s Services experience in England.
• Strong frontline child protection and assessment experience.
• Excellent risk assessment and multi-agency working skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Working pattern: Office-based during duty week, with hybrid flexibility and home working available outside of duty where service needs allow.
