The Role
As a Group Procurement Manager, you will develop and deliver strategic procurement plans across a range of business-critical spend areas, ensuring the best balance of cost, quality, service, innovation and risk management. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will own category strategies, manage supplier relationships, lead procurement activity from sourcing through to contract management, and support the development of colleagues across the team.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and implement procurement and category strategies to deliver business objectives, commercial value and savings targets.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, tendering, supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to drive performance, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Monitor market, commodity and industry trends to support commercial decision-making and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Partner with key stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver effective procurement solutions.
- Lead, coach and develop team members while contributing to cross-functional projects and wider procurement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to optimise cost, quality, service levels and sustainability across assigned categories.
What We Are Looking For
- Significant procurement experience with a proven track record in category management across one or more spend areas.
- Experience developing and delivering procurement strategies in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Direct line management and leadership experience.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost, quality, service and risk considerations.
- Proactive, self-sufficient approach with a positive attitude and a focus on driving results.
- CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS would be advantageous.
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, retail or supply chain environments would be beneficial.
