Process Improvement Engineer

Our client is a global manufacturing business, they are currently seeking an experienced Process Improvement Engineer to make real gains across manufacturing and logistics, lifting performance on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
You’ll join their Improvement Engineering team, reporting to the Senior Improvement Engineer, and work hand in hand with Manufacturing, Warehousing, Quality and NPI. If you enjoy digging into a problem, finding the root cause and seeing your solution make a difference on the shop floor, this role is for you.
What you’ll be doing
Identifying improvement opportunities across the site’s operational activities using formal Lean and C.I. toolsUsing root cause analysis and structured problem solving to develop effective countermeasuresDeveloping existing equipment and processes, and introducing new technologies to improve manufacturingDesigning and developing tooling that improves the quality and efficiency of how we build our productsDeveloping and implementing engineering changes within ISO 13485 medical device controlsKeeping work instructions and drawings accurate and up to dateProviding hands-on engineering support to productionCollaborating with teams right across the business to get improvements adopted and sustained
What we’re looking for
Engineering HNC or higherFormal Lean/C.I. trainingA minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing and engineering environment, delivering improvements using formal root cause analysis and other C.I. toolsExperience delivering improvements in an assembly manufacturing environment

Salary: £45 – 50k, full time permanent, plenty of scope for career progression.
