Power Quality Systems Engineer – Critical InfrastructureRedline has been retained by a specialist engineering consultancy who are looking for a Power Quality Systems Engineer to join their growing engineering team, based in the East Midlands with hybrid working.Due to continued growth and an increasing volume of projects, my client are seeking a Power Quality Systems Engineer to play a key role in power systems studies, electrical design and consultancy across a range of critical infrastructure and energy projects.Responsibilities for this Power Quality Systems Engineer – Critical Infrastructure job are:Deliver power systems studies and analysis, including load flow, fault level, protection and grid compliance studies covering reactive power capability, voltage transients, harmonics and dynamic responseDevelop and standardise study formats and methodologies to improve repeatability and efficiency, including standardising software where possibleCarry out power systems modelling, electrical design and analysis, including substation design, system layouts, cable sizing and associated calculationsWork closely with customers and internal engineering teams, supporting consultancy projects, technical studies and internal R&D activitiesKey skills and experience for Power Quality Systems Engineer – Critical Infrastructure job are:Experience in Power Systems Studies, Power Quality Systems or a related power systems disciplineExperience with load flow, fault level, protection and grid compliance studiesKnowledge of power systems modelling, electrical design and analysisUnderstanding of power quality, including harmonics, voltage transients, reactive power and dynamic responseStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across both technical consultancy and design projectsThis is an exciting opportunity to join a growing specialist engineering business working on technically challenging power systems and critical infrastructure projects, with the opportunity to develop your career across power systems studies, consultancy, design and power quality.To apply for this Power Quality Systems Engineer – Critical Infrastructure role, please send your CV
