We’re looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a leading manufacturing business in Livingston. This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent earning potential, long-term job security and genuine career progression.
You’ll complete an initial three-month training period on a Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern before moving onto a 4 on, 4 off continental shift, increasing your salary to circa 46,000 – 48,000 per annum.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Inspect forged and machined components to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Carry out dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Identify defects and support quality improvements across production.
- Complete inspection documentation accurately.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served Engineer or HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering.
- Previous inspection experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Flexible to work rotating shifts before moving onto continental shifts.
Initial Training Shift Pattern
3 shift rotation: Days/Backs/Nights followed by Continental shift pattern
