Linux Engineer / Developer – Quant Trading

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a best-in-class platform powering proprietary trading systems
• Advance automation to minimize human error and manual setup
• Maintain and optimize Linux-based systems in a fast-tracked trading environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve technical issues
• Assist in debugging and performance tuning of low-latency systems

Key requirements

• STEM background; ideally Computer Science
• Deep knowledge of Linux and systems
• Fluent on the command line and shell scripting
• Strong grasp of programming concepts in C, sockets, and virtual memory
• Ability to analyze technical problems clearly and concisely
• Understanding of networking protocols
• Proficient with debugging tools: gdb, perf, DTrace, SystemTap
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with any programming language (Go, Python, Rust, Julia, Java, C++, Scala, Haskell or similar)
