Overview
In this senior role, you will provide strategic direction and visible leadership within WSP’s Development discipline to drive growth in Scotland and nationally. You’ll shape multi-disciplinary major infrastructure projects, lead client-facing activities, and advance technical innovation while championing a culture of inclusion and sustainability. You will work with cross-functional teams to win major opportunities and strengthen the order book. This is a role for a proven leader who mentors others and steers high-impact commissions.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and visible leadership aligned with WSP values
- Coordinate across the Development discipline and share market intelligence and best practice
- Engage with Technical Leadership Group to promote innovation in infrastructure development
- Set local team structures and skills in collaboration with the DTL
- Drive business development, win key accounts, and grow the order book
- Lead and support bids, reviewing submissions with commercial and technical added value
- Act as Project Manager or Director for major projects and strategic commissions
- Support H&S / Corporate Responsibility and ensure SHEQ compliance
- Mentor colleagues on succession and emerging talent initiatives
