Overview
In this role you will lead utilities infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary team to deliver sustainable, complex schemes for public and private clients. You will act as a senior client contact, shape technical solutions, and mentor junior staff while ensuring high-quality, on-budget delivery. The position focuses on utilities coordination, diversions and connections, integrating with wider design work to support major infrastructure programs. This is a client-facing, technically rigorous opportunity at a global engineering firm.

Responsibilities
- Engage with clients on utilities matters from feasibility to implementation
- Deliver schemes on budget and maintain high quality of work and reports
- Act as senior client contact on key projects and mentor team members
- Develop utility connections, diversions, and infrastructure strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships
- Provide commercially aware problem solving and effective time management
- Ensure adherence to BIM standards and use AutoCAD/Civils3D for drawing and modelling requirements
- Support development and progression of staff toward Chartered status
Key requirements
- Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status
- Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and infrastructure strategies in the UK
- Knowledge of Electricity, Gas, Water, and Telecommunications networks
- Experience with Multi-utility/iDNO/ICP offerings beneficial
- Ability to develop utility demand calculations for developments
- Experience on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure schemes
- Proficiency with BIM standards and AutoCAD/Civils3D
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC)
