Overview
As a Maintenance Engineer in Hertfordshire, you will maintain, calibrate, and repair production and utility equipment within the Engineering Department, ensuring regulatory compliance. You will provide technical support to manufacturing and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes. The role sits at the intersection of operations and quality, helping production run smoothly while adhering to GMP and related guidelines. Responsibilities
- Undertake maintenance, calibration, repair, and continual development of production and utility equipment
- Provide technical support and problem-solving to the manufacturing team to minimize production disruption
- Maintain and utilise regulatory and non-regulatory documentation to ensure timely, accurate capture of activities
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and procedures through collaboration and safe working practices
- Ensure compliance with GMP standards and other relevant guidelines in all maintenance activities
- Support production by maintaining equipment reliability and performance
Key requirements
- Relevant degree in an engineering discipline or a formal qualification in at least one other engineering discipline
- Proven industry experience in maintenance activities on pharmaceutical utilities and equipment
- Working knowledge of GMP standards, Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and ability to work under pressure in complex conditions
