Senior Designer – Topshop – Jersey

Overview

In this role, you drive trend-led Jersey product across Tops, Dresses, Bottoms and fashion separates to strengthen the Topshop brand. You lead category vision, spot seasonal opportunities and deliver innovative designs that balance style with commercial performance. You’ll work within a cross-functional team, leveraging customer insight and market data to inform decisions and respond quickly to trends. This is a growth-focused, fast-paced opportunity to shape the brand’s Jersey collections and impact the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Research global, cultural and fashion trends to inform product direction
• Create seasonal trend concepts, mood boards and direction for Jersey ranges
• Design Jersey basics and fashion tops, dresses and bottoms
• Define key fashion shapes, hero pieces and season-wide opportunities
• Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, Technical and Sourcing teams
• Leverage customer insights, sales performance and competitor analysis for design decisions
• Identify speed-to-market opportunities and respond to trends quickly
• Present concepts and ranges to senior stakeholders
• Mentor junior design team members
• Build strong supplier relationships to drive fabric, wash, print and construction innovation

Key requirements

• Significant experience designing womenswear Jersey
• Strong trend forecasting and commercial awareness
• Excellent CAD, sketching and range-building skills
• Understanding of Topshop customer and brand aesthetic
• Ability to balance creativity with commercial performance
• Highly organised and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Passion for culture, fashion, music, art and emerging trends
