Lead Software Engineer – (Frontend, Backend, Full Stack)

Overview

As a Lead Software Engineer at Accenture, you will lead hands-on delivery and coach teams to build scalable digital products for diverse clients. You’ll partner with cross-functional groups to drive value, maintain high engineering standards, and shape technical direction across domains. The role blends client-facing ownership with internal community contribution, enabling rapid learning and impact. Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering teams to deliver hands-on and strategic outcomes
• Collaborate with clients to build high-impact digital products used at scale
• Drive engineering excellence with a focus on value, simplicity, and low complexity
• Contribute to internal and regional engineering communities and knowledge sharing
• Operate across multiple domains and tech stacks, shaping solutions and best practices

Key requirements

• Several years of industry experience in one or more: Java, Typescript, Python, Go, C#, React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte
• Experience with Cloud Native technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, ArgoCD)
• Strong focus on Accessibility, Security, Performance and Caching
• Proven experience in leading a team and growing team members
• Willingness to travel to client sites and meet security clearance requirements (BPSS and SC, 5 years UK address history)
• Location: Manchester with ad hoc UK travel
