Overview

In this role you will lead Electrosonic’s financial reporting, close processes, and forecasting while ensuring robust controls and compliance. You will represent finance on the Europe management team, drive process improvements, and support strategic decision-making for a global technology-focused business. You will oversee audits, tax, and project accounting, partnering with operations to optimize cash flow and project profitability. Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly close, deliver Flash reports, and coordinate with stakeholders across the business
  • Manage annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning with senior leadership
  • Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts and monitor project budgets
  • Conduct financial risk assessments on projects and suggest mitigations
  • Act as finance representative on Europe management team for strategic alignment
  • Lead R&D credit applications and coordinate with external advisors
  • Review team deliverables and provide guidance; be the finance SME
  • Drive continuous process improvements within accounting and close processes
  • Handle WIP close, project revenue/cost recognition, and project status reviews
  • Coordinate audits with external auditors and support regulatory compliance
  • Manage corporate taxes and VAT filings in cooperation with external firms
  • Maintain banking relationships and ensure compliance with loan covenants
  • Develop and implement standardized finance policies and internal controls
  • Provide leadership, defining goals and maintaining team motivation and cross-group alignment
  • Foster collaboration and accountability across departments involved in close and reporting processes
  • Support training and capability-building across the finance organization

Key requirements

  • 10+ years of experience including managing an accounting department
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance, ACCA / CIMA required
  • Strong risk management, governance, and financial controls expertise
  • Experience with ERP systems and month-end close integration
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and present complex financial information
  • Ability to lead and develop a diverse finance team
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
  • Experience with audits, taxes (corporate and VAT), and regulatory compliance
