Overview

In this Manufacturing Process Engineer role, you will support industrialisation, scale-up, and continuous improvement of specialist manufacturing processes within the Production Engineering team. You will work across engineering disciplines to create stable, repeatable production processes and hands-on solutions close to the line. The position emphasizes collaboration with production and technical teams to deliver practical, measurable improvements. A key focus is driving yield, throughput, and process stability at scale, contributing to the company’s manufacturing performance and capability growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support industrialisation and scale-up of CCM manufacturing processes
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing standards (SOPs, process parameters, routings)
  • Assist with introduction of new equipment and automated systems
  • Contribute to equipment specification, supplier engagement, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and handover
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to production and troubleshoot issues
  • Lead and participate in RCA and structured problem-solving
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase yield, throughput, quality, and stability
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and CI techniques to processes
  • Support PFMEA/FMEA, risk assessment, and engineering changes
  • Contribute to CapEx and capital equipment projects
  • Support factory layout, material flow, and production workflow improvements
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing and engineering documentation
  • Capture and develop process knowledge for repeatable, scalable production
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and external suppliers to deliver improvements

Key requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, production engineering or industrialisation
  • Experience with process optimisation and continuous improvement
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment and automated production systems
  • Equipment introduction, commissioning or production handover
  • FAT/SAT and working with equipment suppliers
  • Root cause analysis and structured problem solving
  • Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement / Kaizen
  • PFMEA / FMEA and engineering change management
  • Manufacturing documentation, SOPs and process standards
  • Using manufacturing data to identify and deliver process improvements
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Coordinating technical or manufacturing projects
  • Collaborative work with production, engineering, quality and maintenance teams
  • Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent desirable
  • Structured and analytical thinking
