Cyber Security Consultant

Overview

Join a respected cyber consultancy to assess and mitigate security risks across IT, OT, and business systems. You will work with clients and stakeholders to deliver risk assessments, security assurance, and resilience initiatives across complex environments. You’ll contribute to secure-by-design implementations and governance activities. This role offers hybrid working in Bristol, Portsmouth, or Plymouth and exposure to high-profile national security projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security risk assessments within complex environments
• Identify, analyse and manage cyber security risks for clients
• Deliver security assurance and governance activities aligned to standards
• Provide cyber security guidance across systems, networks and processes
• Contribute to resilience planning, incident preparedness and recovery activities
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to communicate risks and recommendations
• Support development of secure and resilient solutions throughout project lifecycles

Key requirements

• Experience delivering cyber security, information security or risk management activities
• Understanding of security risk assessment methodologies and risk management principles
• Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent demonstrable experience
• Strong communication, analytical and report-writing skills
